Stride Esports Wins First Smash Major
The team is just getting started with podium wins at Cirque 3.

[Orlando, FL] – This weekend, the Stride Esports team made a big statement at Cirque 3, a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournament and Florida’s first Smash major of the year. Stride Esports team members took home first and second with SHADIC and MuteAce facing off against each other in both winner’s finals and grand finals.

Stride Esports brought a full roster to the event. SHADIC, MuteAce, Dark Wizzy, MVD, and ESAM were all in attendance. Stride Esports is proud of the team’s performance and the future looks bright for upcoming tournaments.

“A Stride 1-2 finish at a major event just weeks after expanding the Smash roster from 1 to 5, shows us this squad means business,” said MVD, founding member of Stride Smash.

This was SHADIC’s first major title, defeating Miya, (#4 in the world), Dabuz, (#14 in the world), and MuteAce (#20 in the world). MuteAce claimed second, defeating Shuton (#10 in the world), Zomba (#15 in the world), and SHADIC in the Grand finals, to force a bracket reset, where SHADIC made a comeback and won in game 9.

Other noteworthy finishes:
Stride SHADIC: #1
Stride MuteAce: #2
Stride ESAM: #13
Stride MVD: #17
Stride Dark Wizzy: #33
